Hello!
My
name is Jenny Burkhart and I feel so very blessed to be
able to teach here at Northwood Hills. This is my 5th
year to teach Kinder, and my 4th
year at NHE. I simply adore the family
atmosphere I feel here, among the teachers, parents and
children. It provides for an excellent and exciting
learning environment!
I
was born and raised in
San Antonio
,
Texas
where I grew up to quickly realize that I wanted to follow
in my mother’s footsteps and become a teacher. So I
attended the
University
of
Texas
in
Austin
and I attained a degree in Early Childhood Education, with
a specialization in
Reading
. After graduating, I moved back to
San Antonio
and had a very exciting year both teaching Kinder and
planning a December wedding! My husband and I moved up
here when he was accepted into Southwestern Medical School
4 years ago. We couldn’t be happier with
Dallas
, my job and his schooling!
In
my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and
friends, traveling, reading, watching movies, shopping and
working out. We recently bought a miniature Dachshund
puppy, named Charlie, so this summer a great deal of my
time has been spent loving on him and training him!
I hold many things dear to my heart including my loved
ones, my kinders, my faith, learning, and our country. I
thank everyone for their support and I look forward to
another amazing year of growth, learning and love.
