Thank
you for the opportunity to work with your children this
year! I hope to make your child’s 3rd
grade experience at Northwood Hills Elementary very
memorable.
I
am excited to be jumping right in to my 5th
year of teaching at NHE. After student teaching in 3rd
grade for a semester, I graduated from
Texas
A&M
University
in
College Station
in December 2002 with a degree in Early Childhood
Education, grades Pre-K-6.
I am currently in graduate school at Texas A&M
Commerce working on a master’s degree in Counseling.
As
far as my classroom experience, I began teaching 6th
grade in the spring of 2003 and taught for a year and a
half in that grade level. I loved 6th
grade and the ability to work with so many kids as they
were transitioning into junior high, but I feel that my
heart is with our 3rd graders.
In
addition to being dedicated to your children, I also value
my family. I
am excited to announce that I just got married on June 30th
to my wonderful husband, Jeremy Pendery. I am also close
to my mom and dad who have supported me in everything I
have done. After sending me to A&M, they made sure to
stick with Aggie traditions and made EVERYTHING in their
house maroon. They even have a sweet puppy they named
Gig’em! My brother, Scott, graduated from Texas A&M
in May of 2006 and is now stationed in
Norfolk
,
Virginia
as an officer in the U.S. Navy.
He recently deployed on his first mission with the
Navy. I know
he will love to receive letters from our class throughout
this year!
I
love Northwood Hills and the families who come in and out
of our doors every day! I hope you have an awesome
experience this year!
