Fifth grade students will take their Math TAKS tomorrow,
Wednesday,April 9.

The date was changed from April 8 due to voting in some schools that day.
Please be sure that your 5th graders get a good night’s sleep and a healthy breakfast tomorrow morning (and all mornings!).

 
Please complete and return enrollment cards to your teacher as soon as possible, as our classes are filling up quickly!
 

What a fun BINGO Night we had last Friday! Thank you to Yvette Testut (Riley and Jayce’s mom) for organizing both BINGO nights. Thanks also to all of her terrific helpers, both adults and 6th graders!
Our next Cici’s Pizza night will be tonight! Remember, Cici’s generously donates 10% of sales receipts to NHE. Be sure to sign your receipt and drop it in the NHE box at the restaurant.
30 of our students raised money for the Jump Rope for Heart drive for the American Heart Association. Together they raised $2671.00! This is an increase of more than $400 from last year!
Marathon Kids: The final mile of the Marathon will be Saturday April 12th at Loos field house beginning at 10:00 a.m. Questions? Please call Ms. Ellis.
Mark your calendars! The PTA has been working so hard planning for Nacho Ordinary FUNdraiser! It will be on Friday, April 25th at Amado’s Restaurant on Belt Line Road. You received the Sealed Bid Packet for auction items in last week’s Tuesday envelope. Return your packets with your bids no later than 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 11.
Please submit your nominations for the 2007-2008 Golden Apple Award Recipient. The Golden Apple is given to a person who has volunteered in outstanding ways throughout the year. It can be any teacher, parent, community member, etc. Nomination forms are available in the NHE office.
