Northwood Hills Elementary School

Mackie Kazdoy, principal

If your child is absent for a religious holiday, you must have an excuse from the church, synagogue or mosque in order for it to be counted as an excused absence. Unfortunately, we can not accept a note from the parent in this case. If your child was absent this week for Rosh Hashonah, they can bring a note next week and the absence will be excused.
When picking students up in the afternoon, only park on the streets and in the outside lane of the driveway. Please do not park in the inside lane and do not pick up students from the middle, moving lane of traffic. I am trying to have the inside lane (closest to the school) be for drop off and pick up only. The middle lane is for drivers to be able to keep driving. I'm hopeful that this will make our afternoon traffic safer and smoother.
