Mark your
calendars for February 5th and 19th! Those are NHE
Tuesday Night at CiCi's! CiCi's Pizza will donate 10% of
the sales receipts to our school on NHE Tuesday Night -
sales receipts must be signed by the patron and placed in a
drop box in the restaurant to be counted (location is 7879
Spring Valley Road). Not only will this benefit instruction
at NHE, but what a fun way to get together with your friends
and neighbors!

new Beta Club members! The following 5th graders were
inducted into the National Junior Beta Club this afternoon: Emma
B., Svetlana D., Belisha G., Sophia S., Sarah W., Aniqua A.,
Brennan B., Robby B., A.J. H., Karina M., and Davis R. These
students are being honored because of their excellent grades and
citizenship. |

RISD Parents
Dyslexia Education Group January Meeting: The guest will
be State Board of Education Member Geraldine "Tincy"
Miller - who spearheaded efforts for Texas to pass the
Dyslexia Law. Mrs. Miller will speak about her own experiences
as a parent of a child with dyslexia, the development of the
Texas Dyslexia Law and Handbook as well as current trends. The
meeting will be held tonight, Tuesday January 29, 2008 from 7:00
- 8:30 p.m. at the RISD Professional Development Center. The PDC
is located at 701 W. Belt Line at Floyd Road. Please RSVP to:
